Cute li'l 1974 Honda CL125 motorcyle-w/tuneup tips

This is a 1974 Honda CB 125 turned into a re-created CL bike. These are easy to convert from CB to CL model. The only hassle is changing over the disc brake forks* to the CL drum brake forks. I picked up all the exchanged parts on ebay over the past 2 years. Tip: if you want a CL, just BUY a CL off ebay! Even getting parts as cheaply as you can, it still costs more than the finished bike is worth to convert a CB to a CL. I think I have $1500 in the bike, but it's worth $1200 at best. Sure looks cute and gets tons of stares, though :) Tip two: Re-jet the carb! Honda 100 and 125s are gutless with anything heavier than a teenager on them. and there isn't much you can do with them. But one trick is to get a main jet off a 1976 CB 125. This was a one-year-only carburetor that featured a 110 jet as opposed to the 98 jet on the earlier years. The larger jet gives it better throttle response. As to how to get the jet, I can't say. I had a 76 carb and swapped the jets out. If there is a kit for the 76 model, it will have a jet. Otherwise, you'll have to check with Honda. Note: the '76 carb will not mount to earlier year bikes. Another trick is to buy an aftermarket 22 MM air filter for better air flow. Remember--AIR FLOW = HORSEPOWER. You want as much unrestricted air going through the carb as you can get. Beyond this, KEEP THE TIMING CHAIN ADJUSTED PROPERLY! Savage X with cen 7.7 engine conversion

This is not a kit. I like the lightweight of the savage and its awesomeness and wanted the torque and power from the cen gst. I dont like the gst, its a beefy truck but it is way to heavy. So i decided to just cnc a custom plate using autocad and solidworks to fit a cen 7.7 gst engine and pipe, without having to modify the flywheel like some conversion kits have. I used everything from the cen engine that was out of the gst, so if i need to replace parts i can still get them. I also end milled the tvp to fit it, not much tho, can be done with a dremel, but i am anal, so i used an end mill. My mod keeps the rigidness of the original savage instead of making entirely new twin plates. This is the first startup with Break in period. The truck has 3 speed trans with upgraded 3rd gear, Robinson racing 46t spur gear, (I had a 48t but it was way too torqy and doing backflips like crazy and thru off my gearing so the trans didn't shift right, so the 46t fixed that, 46t is also the default spur gear tooth for the cen gst) hpi bulletproof diffs front and rear. Titanium turnbuckles (piece of shit, don't buy integy, they broke and bent from moderate jumps.) Upgraded Hitec steering servo, xl twin plates and dogbone, 1.5 in wheel extenders(they suck too, making my own that actually fit right) aluminum bulk heads for diffs, stainless steel twin disk brakes(they suck!
